Ronald Reagan Appears as Sergeant Bill Page in "The Voice of the Turtle"
Budding actress Sally Middleton agrees to a date with Bill Page, a soldier on a weekend pass, after he's stood up by her worldly friend, Olive.
When Bill has a problem getting a hotel room, he ends up spending the weekend with Sally at her apartment. Both have to fight temptation as they become attracted to one another.
The Voice of the Turtle (1947) is a comedy film starring Ronald Reagan, Eleanor Parker, Eve Arden, and Wayne Morris, directed by Irving Rapper, and based on the long-running 1943 play of the same name by John Van Druten.
Due to its retitling when it was released to television in the 50's, the film has become better known by its reissue name One for the Book.
