Ronald Reagan Appears as Matt Sawyer in "Nine Lives Are Not Enough"
Nine Lives Are Not Enough (1941) was a typical Warner Bros.
“B” film of its era, centering around the ever-popular world of newspaper reporters. Ronald Reagan starred as a reporter on the make for the “big story” who tries to prove that a millionaire believed to have committed suicide was, in fact, murdered.
Perhaps nine lives weren't enough, but 63 minutes was plenty of time to relate the plot of this Ronald Reagan vehicle. Reagan plays a newspaper reporter who has a story "that'll break this town wide open!" The story involves a mysterious, unsolved boarding house murder.
