Description

The Cardinals were three outs away from clinching the '85 World Series in Game 6 when umpire Don Denkinger incorrectly ruled K.C.'s Jorge Orta safe at first base to lead off the ninth. The Royals would win the game 2-1 and blow out St. Louis in Game 7.
