Harvard and Northeastern players were pretty lonely at 5 p.m. last night when they started the consolation game of the 51st Beanpot. There were friends and relatives on hand, but not too many others.
The absence of a large crowd certainly did not bother Harvard, as it played a superb game and defeated Northeastern, 4-1, at the FleetCenter.
