St. Louis Cardinals defeat Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-1

On Friday night, righthanded swinger Nick Stavinoha pounded a 412-foot pinch-hit homer off the facade of the third deck at Busch Stadium, driving in two runs in the St. Louis Cardinals' 6-1 victory over the Diamondbacks. On Saturday, Stavinoha was in the lineup in left field -- against Arizona righty Dan Haren.

Only a coincidence, manager Tony La Russa insisted. "I just think this (lineup) gives us the best chance to win. No rewards," he said.
