Union cavalry under H. Judson Kilpatrick engages Confederates under J.E.B. Stuart at Hanover, Pennsylvania, during the Gettysburg Campaign. After a lengthy fight, Stuart withdraws toward York, Pennsylvania, where he expects to rendezvous with Rebel infantry.
