Hundreds of revellers rioted at a bank holiday music festival in Leeds yesterday, marring a weekend of largely peaceful events across Britain.

A policeman needed hospital treatment for a suspected broken nose after 500 visitors at the Leeds Festival ran riot in the early hours.
