President Obama Celebrates 50th Birthday in Chicago

President Barack Obama returned to his hometown this evening to raise some campaign cash and celebrate turning 50. Before addressing a party/fund-raiser at the Aragon Ballroom, Obama addressed parties across the country via teleconferences.

President Barack Obama is back in town tonight, doing some birthday fundraising for his 2012 re-election bid at a North Side concert hall.

The president turns 50 on Thursday, and he's spending the last night of his 40s at the Aragon, where OK Go, Herbie Hancock and Jennifer Hudson are performing at a low-dollar event.

Obama joked about his advancing age during a Cabinet meeting Wednesday, telling reporters, "I'm going to get advice from some around the table about how to handle this milestone."
