Rod Blagojevich Appears on The Daily Show

Rod R. Blagojevich, the Elvis-impersonating former Illinois governor who last week emerged mostly unscathed from a corruption case, took a second shot at his defense Monday night, this time in the court of pop culture on “The Daily Show.”

“Let me begin by saying 23 down, and one to go,” Mr. Blagojevich said at the start of a conversation with the show’s host, Jon Stewart, that steadily grew more heated.

The “one to go” was the sole count of 24 that a jury convicted Mr. Blagojevich on last Tuesday: making false statements to the F.B.I.
