Minnesota Twins defeat Chicago White Sox, 3-2

MINNEAPOLIS -- Bad mustache, great pitching performance.

Right-hander Carl Pavano made elbow room atop the Central Division a little tougher to come by as the Minnesota Twins pulled to 2� games behind the White Sox with a 3-2 victory Saturday at Target Field.

The Detroit Tigers, who lost a doubleheader in Cleveland, fell to 1� games behind the Sox.

The latest installment of the Ozzie Guillen-Ken Williams soap opera arrived Thursday, with Williams seemingly implying on ESPN's ''Pardon The Interruption'' that Guillen wouldn't want a piece of him.

If that's what Williams meant, he's right. Guillen, a former baseball bantamweight, would have to be crazy to want to fight a former Division I football player.

If that isn't what Williams meant, well, let's move on to the next mini-crisis because there's a decent chance...
