Rod Blagojevich fund-raiser Tony Rezko's home sold for $2.8 million in foreclosure auction

The Wilmette mansion of former Rod Blagojevich fundraiser Antoin "Tony" Rezko sold today for the opening bid of $2.8 million to the same bank that put the house up for auction.

Bank of America, which foreclosed $5.9 million on the property last May, was the only bidder.

Rezko’s home at 1302 Chestnut Ave, Wilmette, IL 60091, is a 8,400 sq ft mansion that went into default when Rezko failed to pay on the $5.9 million note. He reportedly owes $5.08 million.
