Florida Marlins defeat Baltimore Orioles, 11-3

MIAMI - -The final indignity in a series full of them for the Orioles came in the eighth inning Thursday night after Hanley Ramirez had connected for his second grand slam in three days. While the Florida Marlins superstar took a well-deserved curtain call amid chants of "Hanley, Hanley," one fan waved a broom up and down the top of the Orioles' dugout.

Still slumping

The Orioles were hoping that resting Adam Jones for much of Wednesday's game would help the struggling center fielder break out of his slump, but that wasn't the case. Jones went 0-for-5 and stranded seven base runners Thursday. In the series, Jones went 0-for-12, his average falling to .302. He's now hitting .203 in June and has gone nine straight games without an extra-base hit.
