Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) was interviewed Wednesday by the Senate Ethics Committee in its investigation of Sen. Roland Burris, appointed by now-ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich to fill the Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama.
The interview was conducted at a closed session of the committee and not announced in advance. Durbin said he also was interviewed by Sangamon County State's Atty. John Schmidt last week in Schmidt's perjury investigation of statements by Burris to an Illinois House panel regarding his appointment.
