Texas Rangers defeat Baltimore Orioles, 4-3

The Orioles tied the game in the ninth inning as Brian Roberts hit an RBI double to right-center off Rangers closer Eric Gagne, who blew his first save of the season. But an inning later, their quest for a victory ended when reliever Paul Shuey surrendered a one-out RBI single to Michael Young. ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- They should have had the game tied in the seventh inning, but a blown call by plate umpire Brian Knight left them angry and still one run short. No matter, Brian Roberts tied the game with a one-out, ninth-inning RBI double off closer Eric Gagne.
