Wild Woody is a game for the Sega CD that was released just before the death of the system by Sega of America in 1995. The Entertainment Software Ratings Board gave the title a "Kids To Adults" rating. While the game quickly went into the bargain bins, it has since become something of a rare collector's item.
Wild Woody can also be recognised for its sound track, composed by Ron Thal A.K.A. Bumblefoot.
Wildy Woody appears as number 45 out of Game Revolution's 50 Worst Video Game Names of All Time. He is also ranked fifth on Game Informer’s list of "the top 10 worst character names." On the second episode of the official second season of 1UP.com's Broken Pixels, Wild Woody was featured.
